Celebrating International Women’s Day

Tilley News
A crowded and energetic conference room in a futuristic building. Roughly a dozen interested employees engage in discussion.

At Tilley Distribution, we know how valuable it is to our customers and to our organization to bring together diverse viewpoints and experiences. Together, we believe that our team is more than the sum of its parts; the combined value of everyone here at Tilley adds up to a strong, dynamic force within our industry.

Today, we celebrate International Women’s Day and recognize the women in science, chemistry, logistics, and other elements of our business. Combining leadership, strength, and brilliant ideas, the women of Tilley Distribution shape our success and elevate our entire organization. We owe so much of our growth to the contributions of women working hard at every level of the business to make important things happen.

International Women’s Day is an opportunity to say thanks, but we have another 364 days of the year to deliver on our promises. Diversity and inclusiveness are pillars of our organization, and we will continue to value the work and experience of every member of our team.

Our COO, Sean Tilley, would like to extend his thanks to the Tilley Distribution team.

Having spent my entire career in chemical and ingredient distribution I fully recognize diversity and more specifically gender diversity is greatly lacking in the industry. This includes my organization. It is incumbent upon leadership inside this market space to attract, retain, and promote women inside our organizations. As a society and industry, we need to celebrate the women who have positively impacted our organizations at all levels. We also need to acknowledge that they have been underrepresented at the leadership level. Tilley Distribution along with SK Capital Partners are making the commitment to change that legacy. Thank you to all the women at Tilley Distribution and other SK Capital Companies, we would not be successful without you.
